WHAT TO EXPECT

SCOTLAND: The Big Picture has been delivering communications training with Pennie and Dan at Adventurous Audio since 2023. During this time, their unique passion and collaborative approach have helped many individuals and organisations working in nature recovery to share the stories that matter most, in an open, honest and meaningful way.

This course is for you if you are:

  • a student, graduate or career-changer looking to work in rewilding or nature restoration, with a passion for using storytelling as a powerful communication tool
  • a past participant in our Rewilding Communications Training who wants to build further skills and hone the storytelling element of communication
  • a conservation or rewilding professional keen to tell inspiring, impactful stories
  • part of an ESG-focused business looking to include rewilding examples in your brand storytelling
  • a member of a rewilding project team – especially if you’re involved in community engagement or funding proposals – and would benefit from focussed, impactful storytelling
  • involved in a local community group working on place-based conservation
  • a ranger or educator responsible for sharing nature and rewilding stories with the public through interpretation and engagement

During this course you will learn:

  • the art of immersive storytelling for rewilding, through description, personal anecdotes and by engaging your audience's senses and imaginations
  • creative techniques to shape compelling, authentic narratives
  • how to design and share messages of hope that inspire action
  • the importance and power of storytelling as a communications tool
  • a deeper understanding of the essential building blocks of truly effective storytelling
  • practical ways to strengthen your communication skills and connect with diverse audiences, including ‘before and after’ examples

You’ll go away with:

  • the skills and techniques you need to tell your own rewilding story
  • a toolkit for how to re-purpose content for different platforms
  • a complimentary copy of our Northwoods Nine booklet and a copy of our MeWilding ebook
  • a course completion certificate
